For this project the client wanted to duplicate a garden planter they had see. They provided one photograph and several measurements of urn style planter. From the photo a scaled drawing was made. From the drawing plaster profile turning knives were made. A scaled 3D model of the planter was then fabricated from wood and plater parts. Once the model was completed rubber molds were made. The final planters were cast using (FGRC) cement. The top and bottom section of the planter each weigh approximately 110 lb.
